For Project Sponsors

Prepare Your Opportunity for Serious Investor Engagement

EXPERTISE CAPITAL PARTNERS works with governments, public entities, project sponsors and established businesses seeking capital for infrastructure projects, expansion strategies and transformative growth opportunities across Africa.

We help sponsors assess investment readiness, strengthen the financial and transaction case, prepare appropriate documentation and engage relevant investors, lenders and strategic partners.

Opportunity Criteria

What Makes an Opportunity Relevant for Review

ECP does not assess opportunities solely on the basis of sector or financing need.

Sponsor

🔴 identifiable ownership;
🔴 experienced management;
🔴 clear decision-making authority;
🔴 credible track record;
🔴 willingness to provide appropriate information.

Market

🔴 identifiable demand;
🔴 clear customer or user base;
🔴 credible competitive positioning;
🔴 realistic market assumptions.

Opportunity

🔴 clearly defined project or business;
🔴 identifiable development stage;
🔴 coherent implementation strategy;
🔴 realistic timeline.

Financial Case

🔴 defined financing requirement;
🔴 clear use of funds;
🔴 credible financial assumptions;
🔴 financial model or projections where applicable;
🔴 identifiable sources of sponsor contribution where relevant.

Legal & Regulatory Position

🔴 relevant licences or approvals identified;
🔴 corporate and ownership information available;
🔴 key contractual rights understood;
🔴 land, concession or operating rights addressed where applicable.

Impact

🔴 contribution to productive capacity;
🔴 infrastructure development;
🔴 employment;
🔴 essential services;
🔴 regional value chains;
🔴 wider economic development.

“Meeting these criteria does not guarantee that ECP will accept a mandate or that financing will be secured.”
